OK. Tell me when a discussion about outrunning the police is ever acceptable.

C'mon .. We're not condoning running from the police, we're just trying to have a little fun out of the situation and comments by the police. Don't get your panties all in a bunch.

Interesting. They imply its a 3 Series but no other details. They're impressed the Chargers caught it but if its a non sport pkg car, I think its limited to 135ish. If its a sport pkg, it could hit 150 but it still has a limiter and the Chargers don't. Lesson 1: Make sure it is delimit-ed before running from the police.
I wonder if it had run flats. If new, most likely. Would spike strips stop a car with RFTs? A guess is it did have RFTs and she was able to continue driving for a while until the tires over heated. Which is likely if all 4 lost pressure and where running on the stiff sidewalls where its only rated to 55mph.

RFTs are only stable to the recommended 50mph, definitely not 100+mph.

My Ride: 2006 525XI, Jet black on Dakota beige. Premium and winter packages. I consider myself a purist and intend to keep my car absolutely stock and shiny.
2008 328I Convertible, Sapphire black on beige interior. Premium package, NAV, iPod adapter.
Retired: 2002 325I, Titanium silver on black leather. Premium package. Absolutely stock and proud of it.
"A $22,000 Dodge not only caught up with but probably could have passed an expensive German vehicle," the sheriff said, laughing. "I wonder how much BMW will pay to keep this quiet."
Pretty ignorant comment by a clueless non-BMW driver. Would have loved to see them try to take on the 3 driven by a sober driver in some twisties. And to compare the Charger to the 3 is like comparing an Isetta to a 2002. Let's see what they could have done against a delimited 550.

Krozi, you're just on the roll to prove the world is run by rednecks today, aren't you? Is it your sister's (aka your cousin's) Birthday or something? What's with all the dedications?
I'm not EVEN gonna comment on any of this crap about this dumb woman, ignorant comments by the officer... maybe I will just a little:
1. You run from the police, you get fvcked. Fact.
2. If you're a LEO, you can't ever afford to be overly confident - you're risking not only your life, but the lives of men and women who you back up on the job. If I was this officer's supervisor, I'd be sure to check and see if he's becoming a "cowboy"... oh wait a minute... never mind

You know your life is complete when you can say, "hold my beer, I need to shoot something"
