I'm off to go see Supes within the hour. Has anyone seen it already? What is your opinion without providing spoilers.

Pirates of the Carribean would be my choice. Captain Jack's the man.

It's alright, but go watch it in IMAX -- all movies in IMAX are awesome!

Just got back from the movie. It was very much a Bryan Singer movie. Lots of character development, not a lot of action. Yeah, we all know everything about Supes but that is Singer's style. Reminds me of how he directed the first X-Men movie. Overall, I like the movie. It was better than X-Men 3.

You know there will be a sequel in a year or two.

It still a little weird seeing Superman without thinking about Christopher Reeve.

Still haven't seen it yet, but I plan on seeing it in DLP and in IMAX 3D. Superman Returns used a new digital camera for capture - the Panavision Genesis. It's the first full-frame sensor used for motion picture production. It's an RGB sensor, not Bayer interpolated, so it uses 12.4Mpxls to create a 1920x1080 capture area. I always like seeing movies with a digital chain end-to-end which means seeing it in DLP. I'm also curious to see a digitally-sourced feature that has gone through the IMAX DMR process.

What's the difference between an IMAX movie theatre and a "regular" movie theatre?

In film size matters. Imax uses a 70mm negative...
