4 brand new tires and rims for $500 is a steal. Too bad they didn't give you a choice as to when to part with that money.
Sorry to hear you were robbed, it's a horribly violating feeling. I was mugged by three guys in downtown Sydney Australia, got my left eye stitched up - no insurance can fix that.
At least they didn't throw the thing down on the rotors, they may be scum of the earth thieves, but they saved you from having to potentially buy new backing plates.
