Chin up, PJ. At least you'll have a sense of accomplishment, money in your wallet, and no STDs!

Yeah, I know, don't worry Vlad. And, no, in this case you don't wanna trade places. The switches are fine, but the entire IP scheme and overall design are fucked and somehow I gotta try to sort it out while not fixing it entirely - because that would take weeks (120 switches and just over 6000 nodes)
Are you there for City Center? Phase 3 for me begins sometime next month - I'll be there for a week or two, then return closer to the opening of Aria and Vdara.

Well, I got here Monday and we worked Tuesday for 12 hours, and today for another 12 - Large casinos don't let you leave until you restore the network that they record/view video on, I don't know why Going home tomorrow and back to normal life, YEAH, so what did you do on your Vegas trip - "jack shit"
Just like my nephew-in-law. He flew to Paris for a weekend, dropped his suitcase off at a hotel, got a cab to the data center, passing the Eiffel Tower, spent the next 30 hours helping them move to a new location, went back to the hotel for 6 hours sleep (where he could see the Eiffel Tower out his window), woke up, and caught a cab to the airport.

You should just tell the people that this should be re-done and do it right - otherwise, you'll have to come back again... but dude, it really sounds like you need some rest. Call a hooker, get a blowjob, have a stiff drink and drift away - tomorrow is a new day
Well, I am back home and - yes - I told them the entire network needs to be redesigned or they will continue to have intermittent routing issues (that happens when you have class A,B, and C addresses on the same subnet ). I will have to come back and help them sort the remaining issues once they redesign the network logically.

Actually i was supporting the Wynn and Encore - City Center may be a whole other project for me (if they can get the IP scheme correct this time!!! )

That reminds me of Hockey Tournaments in Las Vegas, we would walk through the casinos with NO time to play the tables, and then get back so tired (or late, or injured, or drunk) that we didn't play the tables then either. By the time the long weekend was done, we were either sleep deprived, sick from buffets, (though I always dragged the guys out to Ruth's Chris at least once) or beaten up, though usually a combination of all of those, so we just went to McCarron and flew home without touching dice, cards or slot machines! Great times though, I miss them!
