I did a little research out of curiosity... I noticed that, more often then not, I personally associate smoking with poverty. I don't know why, it just seems dirty and gross. When I think of smoking, I think of a pool hall with trailer park people wearing wife beaters. You are more likely to see someone scrounging for change to buy cigarettes then a young professional in a suit or dress buying cigarettes. THAT IS JUST MY OPINION
However, after crunching some quick numbers, I found that the top ten smokiest cities have an average median household income of $38,234 and the top ten least smokiest cities have a median income of $72,670
Just an observation. I know there are exceptions to the rule... I know there are probably some very successful people on this board that smoke. i bet you there are a lot less smokers on this board then there are the chevy camaro boards.
Is choosing not to smoke a good life decision someone makes just like completing college, getting a good job, maybe relocating to a city of opportunity. Do smokers statistically make less then non-smokers?
The highest income for the smokiest cities was ironically Winston-Salem
Sociological debate. Begin.

Note to Alanis Morissette fans: Rain on your wedding day is NOT ironic; it's just a drag. Same applies for black flies in your Chardonnay, which, by the way, should not be drunk by anyone with any hope of redemption.
