Hey everybody, so my gf wants to go skiing for Christmas...anybody can recommend any good spots. I'm from Texas btw, but am willing to travel. We are not professional skiers or anything, we just have never seen snow so we want a white Christmas. Something resonance priced and romantic would be appreciated. Any suggestions welcome though, thanks bros.

Hey V, The last time I been to Vail I got into a huge rumble over some racial issues they had with my crew. I would go to Keystone. Thats where Im headed in Jan. Check out river run lodge. Its a ski in ski out lodge which means you can ski straight to your ski lift and when you come down the mountain, you can ski right down to your room. Also it is right in the romantic town village. 2 Thumbs up and not too pricey either. Also there is night skiing there. Super cool spot!

If you have some time flexibility I can recommend a private home in Breckenridge, CO.

I used to live in Steamboat. I would recommend it. Not too swank-o like Vail, and good runs.

Best place by far. IMO But take lessons don't get hurt if you've never been before.

So river run lodge in keystone? is that the one you are going to? Vail is amazing, but not for me since I am not an experienced skier.

My folks used to have a house in a town called Dillion, located near Keystone. Keystone is great for beginners as is Breck. Vail is super nice but not as many green runs (beginner slopes) as Keystone. In terms of getting there, Keystone is the closest as you come from Denver, Breck is maybe another 30 minutes, then comes Vail. As I recall, there is a small airport at Vail/Beaver Creek so I think you can catch a smaller plane directly to it. Heck, Steamboat is really nice too. Bottom line, you're not going to have a bad time at any of these places!
