actually in florida it does. if i walk into city hall with my DD 214, i walk out with a permit to conceal everyone else in florida has to take a week long class, qualify at a range and sit a waiting period.

In kentucky, my 2nd deployment, I went to visit my mother on R&R. My step father told me about the pawn shop and how they sell weapons. Being from New York, I thought it to be absurd!
So, I go to the pawn shop, 15 minutes later, I walk out with a Llama .45 on my side. Brand new, out the box with as many rounds as I can carry. Mind you, I have no license or permit...
Needless to say, I had much fun ashootin.

Well hell, if you were in KY then you know you can just go to the local Walmart and leave with a weapon. They don't allow more than air rifles at Walmart in CA though.

A buddy of mine has a 44 Magnum caliber Mateba. They're no longer made, but I have shot many 44 mags, and that design has so much less recoil than others I've tried.

Try the DE, being a semi-auto it is much easier to handle than most. I still want to get a .50 DE to play with
And if the Great state of California ever changes the laws I can finally bring my AS50 here (they consider it an assault rifle)
