I love those doors, but they are waaaay to ricey, IMHO!!
It's something for a sports car or a race car, not for a luxury sedan...

Wouldn't look right with a 4 door but it isn't "ricey" to me since it comes from Lamborghini (Italian)

Hey Teriyaki888

Your point is valid and well taken. I am Asian too, but I didn't think "ricey" was offensive, but nevertheless, you have a point.

While we're at it, why did you choose "Teriyaki888" as your screen name? I understand the mystical superstitious alure of number "8" but "Teriaki" really doesn't help your argument here.

I used to be a short order cook...and i used to make home made teriyaki sauce for our employees. Hence my nickname. And 88 is my hockey jersey number. 88 is from my all-time favorite football player Alan Page. He was an All-Pro defensive tackle for Minn Vikings years ago. He's in the NFL Hall of Fame and is a Supreme Court Justice for State of Minnesota. Not too shabby.

I posted a poll in the Lounge regarding the "ricer", "ricey" terms. Take the discussion over there.

Thanks for clarifying Teriyaki888. No pun intended.

Now,

Back to the scissor doors. The web page says all 4 doors can be modified. Wouldn't this conversion a dream come true for those with tight garages? The rear panel of my cars are full of small dings from my own cars opening too wide, getting kid in and out. I can understand now why sliding doors found in mini-vans are so attractive for family with kids.

If, and I mean a big if, the doors could retain that hallmark BMW "thunk" when closing, would you ever consider it? I am sure Lamborghinis with factory installed scissor doors must have that solid thunk feel.

Think about it for a moment (this if for you Rtype2004), people will be drawn to you just for entering/exiting your car. Do you want that attention? Hmmmmm.....

Oh.. blah I was looking under the European car thing.
IMO there HAS to be a catch. They can't match EVERY car door and EVERY shape. The door locking system will also screw up..etc.
Probably a waste of money :s
