Let me ask this a different way, what type(s) of sales experience do you have?

Lots of people in sales, and probably a lot of truly gifted people, think they can, and probably can do well in any sales career but the reality is companies in this day and age aren't going to hire you unless you have A LOT of experience in their particular industry. There's an abundant of talent out there right now looking for jobs so unless you have the applicable experience, or have a great connection somewhere, it'll be next to impossible to land in a position where you have no previous experience.

My company is looking - 100K+ is the potential (salary + commission). The catch? Must have technical sales experience - let me know.

Yup. I doubt my company would ever hire anyone that gave that answer in an interview. With that type of answer you will likely land a job in used car sales.

Looks like more "sales jobs" are opening up. But, getting through the traffic jam of applicants makes the hunt pretty frustrating. You're smart to tap into the social networks - even forums like this one!

Good luck with your hunt - things have to get better soon

Any advertising sales experience? If not, can't hire you.

My company is always looking, it would be technical sales. The only problem is you would have to relocate.
