+1 ... the kind of person that will car jack a car probably has a gun or knife anyway. So if they don't run you over, you are in serious trouble if they DO stop. Like you say, let the car go - at worst your insurance premium may go up a little, at best you have a GPS tracker and the police will find the person that did it and put them away.

I can't help thinking she had more to protect than her car ... imagine the alternative headline, "top bodyguard is unable to protect her own car". Bye bye business and reputation. Obviously she'd still be alive, but I can kind of see the thought process that she went through.

Either way, this kind of thing (regardless of whether the victim is famous) is just so pointless.
