russ1974, i think you misunderstood what i mean to say or maybe i was unclear... I totally agree with you and i was trying to say was inline with what you are saying... there is no way i could allow anyone i know to drive a car that wasn't safe or unreliable

When i say there is nothing more annoying/unsettling than owning a unreliable car... i didn't say buy an unreliable car, i said earlier that he should add money to buy a more reliable car did i not?

by adding additional money to his daughters initial 2500dollar you are "lending" her money and allowing her to pay you back slowly instead of taking out a loan at the bank (which would be more unforgiving) and thus teaching them financial responsibility.... i mean in no way to buy a cheap and unreliable car... sorry if thats what it came across as!

Gah we are all misunderstanding each other. Anyway, back to the original topic, just get her to sign up to E60 and ask about the car - and we'll talk her in to leasing an M5 and getting in to huge debt. It is the least we can do !
