He sure was. My wife and I saw in concert in the 1990s in Washington DC at the Kennedy Center. He was hilarious. What a great mind and wit he had.

My friend lived in the same building with him in Vegas in the late 90's - when he had the show there, I guess - he said George Carlin was extremely cool. Actually, that's how I got into his stuff - my friend was telling me about his neighbor and how cool he was, so I decided to look him up and got hooked instantaneously. Very smart guy and extremely funny. I hope that he's "up there" with Richard Jeni somewhere making God smile RIP
