I'm on day 8 of note smoking.
I'm on the Patch, seems to be taking all the cravings away.
I do have the occasional craving when the stress factor raises, or if I'm on a long road trip.
So far so good, I think I can do this !!
Wish me luck,
AE

My doctor's been trying to get me to quit for years. Finally managed to shut him up after my last physical. I am literally perfectly healthy, BP, Cholesterol, kidney, liver - all functioning flawlessly, chest x-ray - perfect. I also mentioned to him my Dad has been a 3 pack a day smoker for 60 years, he still runs 3 miles a day and runs the rigging on his 62' sailboat alone, and he's 73. My mom has been smoking for 50 years, she does 1500 crunches a day during her 2 hr daily workout, she's 66. Somehow I don't think I am genetically predisposed to problems.
Soon as someone can prove that if I don't smoke, don't drink, eat right and exercise I'll live forever, then I'll quit. Until then I have no plans of being old and decrepit anyway.![Thumbsup](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/thumbsup.gif)
My mom has a sign in her house that reads: "Thank you for smoking, smoking welcome"
I figure I am doing my part to help rebuild America's crumbling infrastructure, it used to be they raped us on cigarette taxes to "encourage" people to quit. Now they depend so much on that tax revenue they must be terrified that it's working.

Although, I do remember investigative reports re: eCigs being just as bad.....
In any event, weaning's weaning's weaning is winning!
