The problem is not only 'what' you eat, but "ho much" of it you eat. To say that someone is overweight is to imply a set standard, e.g., BMI, fat to body ratio, etc. Let's face it, if you can't fit comfortable in a bimmer, by a truck or SUV. I could care less if anyone is "overweight" as long as they don't drag down the health system cost and don't get me my way. Skinny people can be unhealthy too.

We (US) like in a world of convenience, so we try to work hard and "pay" for the convenience. It' harder to loss 50 body pounds than to lose 50 car weight pounds.
Yes is how much you eat, here in HK there's an American restaurant that have a quote on their menu saying "Warning, we serve American portion" that goes to show how much people in America eat and they are not kidding, what they serve is about the right size of an "American Portion" and I think that they have already cheated a bit.

In that restaurant, a soup and a main course is all I need for me and my girlfriend. I don't consider myself skinny but hey I am skinny according to your standard in American

Oh for god's sake, get a life. Lighten up won't you. This forum is about having a bit of a laugh as well isn't it?
If this hadn't been originally posted in the E60 Discussion forum, I never would have read it. So yes, my point remains the same.

That's what titles are for my friend. Doesn't matter really what forum it's in - if you're not interested in the topic illustrated by the title or your delicate sensitivities may be a little offended then the easy answer is not to read it. You don't have to read each and every post in this forum.

If you don't like the title, but still go ahead anyway and read the post and still don't like it then I don't see you have much justification to complain.

Read and enjoy and if you don't enjoy then just adopt a mature attitude and move onto the next post instead of all this relentless wingeing.
