Great tutorial! But I suggest using the pen tool to mask your objects, you'll get a cleaner line instead of getting jagged edges with the paint brush.

yeah, it's easily done in LR.

OP - great write up, thanks! for a photographer, i've come to the conclusion that LR is much user friendly than PS. i use to both, but since i've gotten more comfortable with LR - i use it exclusively. granted, i'm no where near an advanced user by any means. PS is def a much more powerful tool and quite extensive.
