Use 24mm tubes with the 26mm strap and force it!
John, does this seriously work? So many nice 26/26 straps that I just wish would fit the 104.

Let me first say thanks for all the input. It really did help me make my decision. I was torn up until the last minute b/w the 104 and 88. Each had their advantages and disadvantages. 104 is simplier, less 'busy', but can be very dressy, don't 'need' the GMT complication. 88 is a bit more 'masculine', more substantial, still dressy if need be. Cost about 1K difference b/w the two Now I NEED STRAPS!!!!!
So.....here she is:

And the winner is........PAM 104

Simply beautiful... gorgeous. And I'm not talking about your palm either

Damn. Was hoping you would say no. Just more straps to spend money on....
I realize 2mm isnt a lot, but doesn't the strap bunch up where it attaches to the watch?

I am on the edge of buying a PAM 233.

I was wondering: how do you recognise a fake from a real Panerai???

Doc, 233 is a nice piece to have! the 1950 case is just stellar.
Fake or real, I would suggest to buy from the AD, or if you are looking for a pre-owned one, make sure you triple-times cross reference the seller. The fakes are getting better and better each day. It's scary. I even saw a fake one on the bay site, it comes with the warranty card, service card, etc.
Where are you planning to get the 233?
