I know there are other watch threads out there, but I'm interested in any forum members that have particular experience with Panerai's. In the market for a PAM 104. Some good deals through internet vendors, but I'm VERY skeptical of any unknown quantity that sells expensive wares over the internet. Any favorite models, pics, recommendations for retailers? Thanks.

There are several Panerai owners on this board as well as on BimmerFest (E60 thread). Hopefully someone will chime in here, b/c there's more activity on this board than BF.

Between the 104 and 088, I personally favor the 104. The face looks cleaner than the 088. With the 088 the small silver dial within the face throws the look off-balance for me. The 104 face looks smooth, classy and well-balanced.
Did you mean the 024 or 240?

Goo question about 024 or 240. 240 is a verrrry nice. 024....eh.......
