Hopefully your fix WILL be as easy as running Spybot or Adaware, but often it's a bit more involved. If the problem persists, it is always a good idea to run a full virus scan. Then, look in your registry for homepage entries- start with HKEY_CURRENT_USERS\SOFTWARE\POLICIES\MICROSOFT\INT ERNET EXPLORER\CONTROL PANEL. If the entries RESET WEBSETTINGS or HOMEPAGE exist, validate the entries, delete them, save, and reboot. To echo the warnings of others', if you aren't accustomed to working with the registry, you may want to get help - you could do serious damage to your system.

If your page still resets on its own, or will not hold an initial homepage, 3rd party software is being loaded on startup, and you must prevent it from loading. You'll want to start by doing a clean boot of your system (simply starting up with a minimum of drivers/programs), support at Microsoft.com will tell you how based on your OS. Then, one by one, allow the programs to load until you've identified the culprit. Typically, you are looking for a rogue .hta, .js, or .vbs file.

Sorry, this is probably a bit more cursory than meaningful, but hopefully begins to point you in the right direction.

Bunbun,

In addition to the above suggestions, you may try PCHELL.com. They offer easy step by step instructions to help you rid your system of spyware.

Adaware should do the trick. After you fix things, just lay off the porn a bit.
