Ronald Reagan spent years ending the COLD WAR spawning enormous peace benefits throughout the world and did not get the NPP.
Obama gets the Nobel Peace Prize nominated 11 days after he took the Presidency. It is obvious that a hidden agenda drove this nomination.
It demeans the NPP IMHO.

While I generally view President Obama favorably, I think that it was premature to award him the Nobel Peace Prize. He does not have a signature accomplishment yet on peace. I think that the committee awarding the prize wanted to stick a fork in the eye of former President Bush.
