It's funny. Hey great, the prez won the peace prize, but he was nominated for it about 2 weeks after he took office. What really could he have done in those 2 weeks to warrant it? I can't believe there is no one else on this planet that deserved it more than our President who had only been in power for 2 weeks.
You're probably right, two weeks is too soon. What the hell though? It give us a chance to bring out those red/white/blue foam "We're #1" fingers

Perhaps I'm wrong, but isn't the Nobel Peace Prize reserved for people who actually achieve some semblance of peace? Oh wait, they gave it to Jimmy Carter too.

A participatory yellow ribbon would've been apropos.

Is that meant to imply we don't like Obama ? I think he's great, although he hasn't really done anything yet to warrant a nobel prize. Maybe at the end of his term(s) he'll have earned it

Actually the opposite, it was a slight in terms meaning a person with a, shall I gently say, progressive liberal thought process that perhaps follows too closely the thought of a utopian world without a grasp for the harsh world we live in...the saying in the US as referred is a Bleeding Heart Liberal...so in this case the poster was stating perhaps there are many such minds here (which there very well maybe!).
