If you want to meet some truly tuff people, come on down to new orleans. It feels like each day
someone or something is trying to test us, make us leave or just give up. Well, it aint gonna
happen. Now, more than ever, I am committed to living in nola and doing what I can to keep it
the great city it has always been. oil is oil and it is what it is, but, just like all the
events in the past, this disaster will only make us love and work harder to make our great
city even better. I hate whats going on out there in the gulf, I'm sure many of you would
agree, but lets just get that damn thing stopped and get the clean up done even faster. This is
wishfull thinking, but if we dont keep pressure on these, whats a good word, oil industry
slackers, nothing will ever happen. Thanks for listening. nola530

I'm with you friend. Never lived anywhere near I10 but traveled to NOLA many times, many Mardi Gras and many paper mills in LA.

Wonderfull folks, hard working and good friends.

My thoughts are with you and your people every day.

NOLA is a great place. I went there for a two week vacation back in the early 80s and ended up staying 6 months. Some of the best times in my life. I have thought about moving there but don't know what I would do to make a living.

the good thing about this oil situtation is the currents in the gulf are helping to keep
the bulk of it off shore. its moving slowly into the marsh and it hasn't even made it to the
beaches in pensacola or destin. our local govt is really getting pissed. they saw oil close
to the marsh and saw bp boats and personel not doing anything, so they comendered the boats
and went to work.

again, thanks to everyone for the support. it helps.
