LOL No surprise here my arctic friend!
The GT-R is a monster and it even killed the 911 (997) turbo on the nurburgring as you probably know. So the M3 is not a match for it, and of course neither is the M5 which is a big 4 door saloon. The only car that will be able to "sort of" keep pace with it would probably be the new M3 CSL.

Yes it's a fast car - but it looks like a fast sports car. Hardly should be compared to an M5? If people bought an M5 "only" because of the speed, well, they would buy a ferrari wouldn't they.

Yes yes yes...but people let's not forget smth (and i'm not trying to defend bmw). A GTR will never sound and never probably feel as refined and as an M3/M5/M6. It will never scream at 8300rpm and it will never make the same screaming sound, nor probably will ever feel so poised as a rwd car.

...what the articles states is that the gt-r was quite fast on the 'ring, but it was not the fastest, ( I think it was # 5 or #7) but the #1 record still belongs to best production car ever made, the Carrera GT
...i believe the enzo and the CCR were both ahead of the gt-r as well, and the scudiera has not been speed tested yet on the ring, and they compare that baby to the enzo's performance in a v8, so ferrari is surely holding its own
and also, for goodness sakes, please do not try to compare a nissan to a Ferrari.EVER.no matter how fast it goes on a track.PERIOD.its just a datsun!!!!!, they need to build handcrafted sportscars that define racing and create new technologies, designs and ideas for about 75more years, and win more races than imaginable, and then you can try to tell us why they should be compared!!!

If its great at the track will be shit on the road, like the Z06 Vette. Not many cars that can do both or any. Now a ACR Viper that was at the LA Auto show (Red one) thats a track car I would love to drive on the street. All of us will wait and see what the car mags say when they compare the GT-R to Z06,911, viper and others
