with free agency offically starting today i figured this is a good time to start this thread..

2 big moves by my Bears today...

Signing a solid TE Martellus Bennett and a solid LT in Bushrod..

that combined with a new offensive minded HC in Marc Trestman I'm really excited for this coming season..

still have to sure up the OL a bit more and see what comes of #54, like Urlacher, but can't overpay for him either....

I have a feeling Oline, LB, and CB will be addressed this draft..,maybe even WR...



@pj...I see Plax is back behind the iron curtain..interesting move...


not too happy about hearing rumors of Reggie Bush to the Lions and Steven Jackson to the Packers...rather not see those two in the NFC north...Mike Turner is another RB I'd rather not see in my division but both teams need a decent RB and all 3 fit the bill and then some...

Nooo!! Had not seen this... What a shame but ultimately the NFL is a business and Brian is not getting any younger. Some team will be lucky to land him though!

 

How bout that new crown of the helmet rule for running backs.... such a shame.

 

Shame about Brian, but can't wait to see Trestman in action on da Bears sideline, tons of fun watching him lead the Montreal Alouettes to glory. Bear down!

 

agree, but reading into the rule some it's very specific about when you can and can't lower your helmet, the tackle box seems to be the main difference...

agree....you can see that trestman is very offense minded as opposed to lovie...adding bennett and bushrod and also another solid TE in marineri....still wondering how last year draft picks rodriguez and shea will turn out but hopeful...

I'm still on the fence about the Bears first pic, Kyle Long...but I like the draft overall...O-line was addressed along with defense. Hoping we porve the critics wrong with going with Bostic over Arthur Brown. I do think in time he could be #54's replacement....

Just read this morning the Chargers lost last years first round pick Ingram to an ACL tear during OTA's...that's a shame...
