For the best Italian food in NYC go to Piccolo Venezia in Queens (Just over the triborough) - the pope has been there!

That's bold statement to make about NYC. Il Mulino, Babbo, San Domenico, Rao's, etc, etc, etc TOO many to try them all.

Of course, the tickets are a bit of a splurge. I'd never even consider such a season ticket, but as I'm (only) in New York every 1-2 years I think it's ok to get something really decent
OK, I'll check out Sparks.. As concerns Italian food I've been to Da Tommaso (55th / 8th I think) previously, and I think I'll go back to that place. Or Paola's, which I've experienced as a nice place.
Next Door Nobu - been recommended to me by several others.. so if we're in the area I think we might try to pay it a visit.
