Insane! Neat piece of technology, but is it really worth the premium over the current PDC?

I suspect you'd have to carry those lenses where ever you go?! Or is it just for the garage? If it is only for the garage, no thanx. I can park my car perfectly even without pdc. I only miss pdc when backing up into potential objects that i can't see in the mirrors (eg parking polls)

"... while the sensor assumes there is a minimum distance of about 8 inches to the left and right sides of the car."

Umm... Assumptions are the mother of all **** ups!

I wonder why they couldn't combine the automatic parallel parking technology we saw before with this one so the car could just automatically drive for us.

Autopilots exist, but no carmanufacturer wants to get in trouble, so it will probably never come.

Somehow i don't want them to exist. I like to park my own car even if there's a chance for smth bad to happen and scratch it or stuff. But i dunno it feels more manly and natural. I am against too much robotization in our cars.

If you own a 7 series. I think your garage should be bigger than that.
