No matter what the software is running, I'm still willing to bet that the glitch that kigerka experienced is just one of those things that is fixed by a reboot...

I agree with both of you. I know too that 7er iDrive was based on WinCE. However, as I am not aware of a Sun or Microsoft java virtual machine for WinCE, I was having doubts that if this is Java in 5er, as in article we all read (posted in another thread), then probably no Microsoft code around.
As for Microsoft jokes... No problem with me... People are entitled to opinions and expressing them. If they are good, everybody enjoys them...
As for the kigerka's problem, I wonder if he experienced it again, or if he checked with his dealer.
