Don't get me wrong I like the CTS

But this commercial is stupid a CTS can not compete with a 5er.

I know BMW has had that for a decade, maybe longer.

I think the most socially irresponsible part of the Caddy Truck Hybrid message is ... Here's a mega-ton vehicle, stretched over yards of the planet, and it's occupied by one person - a DRIVER!

Who the heck cares if it might get 20MPG in the city - I don't.

He should have taken the bus!

Cadillac is still a GM pos, not a refined Bimmer... however the new cts-v gave the m5 a good run, and bang for buck its unbeatable...

I drove a CTS at a Car and Driver comparison autocross event for subscribers a couple of summers ago. They put it up against an M3. The torque is pretty impressive, as is the acceleration. No question, it's fast. Handling...meh. Again it was either '06 or '07, so things do change. The interior felt cheap when compared to a German car--BMW, MB, Audi, etc. Unless GM can get past their quality issues, no one who's had a BMW is going to fall for it.

The CTS is the best American car ever made ... but it's still no BMW. If you have the Steptronic the differences are smaller but I'd still rather have the BMW. It's my preferred rental car when I can get a deal on one.
