...so vivid it makes the shows a bit too.....erm....Real looking, sort of like a local news live shot, or soap opera recorded with a video cam.
Or am I just mad, like Mrs. MP thinks.?

It does, don't get me wrong.....it's just that in CSI, Law & Order et.al I'm now starting to notice more flaws in the set, the actors makeup, and so forth.

I hate to be that nerdy guy pointing out the details, but there isn't any 1080p broadcast television.
Your TV set might be 1080p, but it's receiving signals that are either 1080i or 720p.
There are some HD on-demand movies on Dish that are 1080p, but this is the only media that is true 1080p (other than Bluray).
