My Ride: 2004 Blacked out 530i, Carbon Fiber Pillars, Carbon Fiber Emblems (Wheels, Steering Wheel and Hood/Trunk). Blacked out kidney Grill, Smoked side marker lights, 15mm Rear Spacers, K&N Filter, Window Tint, Navigon Syst. Breyton Front Lip. Bilistein Coil Over Suspension Front & Rear Droped 1.5" Genuine M5 Pedal set. Mtechnik side skirts, RPI Exhaust.

So living in chicago isnt that bad until we get hit with tons of snow, anyway.... i tried starting my car the other day and my battery gave out on me.... What kind of battery do you guys recommend i buy? Any suggestions would help....

try doing a search on this.. there's lots of threads on this.. i used a reccomended battery from autozone which was real good for me..

I bot a replacement from BatteriePlus - they did the R/R and kept the old core. $222 out the door...

I also have 2004 530i and my battery died last July. I had AAA Roadside Assistance change the battery. I don't remember the brand.. it's just the one the AAA service truck carried.. $140 for the battery, $4 labor, $10 old battery disposal fee, plus tax.. $167.32 total..replaced in 20 minutes.

I was told i should get an Optima Battery, anyone ever try this brand. I hear good reviews from everyone who has one.

i think as long the size is same and its 850cca its all good. i just replaced mine with eliminator from crappy tire
