Saw the OBGYN today. Performed a "stress" test on the baby. According to the test baby is doing well and could go any day now. MD does not want to induce as this is my wife's first pregnancy....

Alright fellow members, the day has finally arrived. My wife's water broke earlier this morning (4 AM). Went and admitted to the hospitalimmediately. Have been watching the monitors, breathing, getting my hand squeezed, and watching my wife get poked and proded since. Currently 2:22 PM. She finally got her epidural (took 40 minutes after she asked for it). Now she's napping comfortably. Nurses and MD are guesstimating delivery time between 6-8 PM tonight. Staff says she is progressing well and the baby is doing fine.I have to say I have a new found respect for women, especially the ones that haven given birth. My wife is a true rock-star/champ.
