Hey Hlywdtrash,
It must be that time of the season. I just got a stupid ticket for a CA stop! I knew it right after I ROLLED away from the stop sign and looked to the right to see the cop sitting there. I also pulled over IMMEDIATELY...though I opened my trunk to get my organizer with my license. (I should have known not to do that!) The cop asked me to stay in the car, while he closed my trunk...before I got out of the car...he told me I should always keep the license ON me. Anyway, he did notice my missing front license plate. Having recently installed the M-kit, I keep the front license plate in the trunk, and explained to him that I just had the add-ons installed and had not had a chance to put it on. He also complemented me for a car that showed "pride-of-ownership". (Good thing I had just washed it the night before!). Anyway, he said the same thing...he had to write me up for somethin' so he did for the CA stop but did not bother with the missing front plate. (Glendale Police)
All cities have softies and hard-ass cops. My cousin pulled over to help a Glendale cop after the officer had fallen and skidded with his motorcycle after a rainy day. Another guy had done the same to help the same cop. Both my cousin and the other guy got a fix it ticket for their tinted windows! Can you believe that! You never know what you're gonna get when a cop stops ya! Anyway, my cousin wrote a long, polite two-page letter to the Glendale police telling them how he thought this was not the best way this cop could have handled the situation. He heard nothing from them...until two years later...no legit explaination...just a $200 check...I guess a "We're sorry" check. I guess it pays to be polite!

Hollywood, I think the cop let you off easy because he it was close to the end of his shift since impounding your car, and etc. would force him to work overtime. I don't believe in any cop having respect for any brand cars unless he/she owns one like it or is a big car enthus. Like it or not, they're doing their job (I hope) to keep the streets safer for other drivers. The time with the high crime/accident rate is between 12:00 am to 3:30 am.

It has a little oomph to it
(no offence meant to Sienna owners - whatever a Sienna is!)
