It was night and my parents drove back home from the cinema. Then on a road between two villages a boar crossed the road and BANG! My dad hit the boar. Result:

You can't see any damage at the front...

... but between fender and passenger's door

My dad hit a boar-damage.jpg

Big gap

I took the following pic under the fender to show, that it has a buckling

I'd like to show you the passenger's door better. But you can't see it on the pictures. The whole door is curved round the x-axis

F***ing french plastic car.... Front bumper is okay, but fender and door are bended

Conclusion: Insurance pays, f***in' french trash is damaged. So who cares?

Thanks god he didn't choose the E60 to drive!!!

Main thing is that everybody is OK. Hopefully even the swine.

I hit a deer once (at no more than 5 mph; the deer survived, though with a sore bum for a while) on an E39. It still managed to bend the bonnet lid a little and to break a couple of plastic trim bits. The grille fell off, but it was not broken. And that was on a steel lid. I can't imagine what would have happened on an aluminium one!

As you can see the impact couldn't have been that fast... The front bumper doesn't even have a small dent...

Ah, well, I bet they guarantee that the bumper will survive impacts up to 10 kmh or something like that. They say nothing about the rest of the car...

That's why the French get five stars on EuroNCAP crash tests.
