It is very very rare, but I was surprised to hear my mother-in-law complement my car as I happen to give her a lift earlier this week.
So that got me thinking:
1) How many of you lovely people managed to impress your 'in-laws' with your beautiful ride?
2) For those of you who are still enjoying your freedom (i.e. not married yet), do you plan to let your future in-laws anywhere near your ride?
Come on lets hear it.

LOL that's a good post.
I usually drive my in-laws to/from airport and they like the car very much. Of course.. You know what? After having a chance to experience BMW, my father-in-law said nothing and bought a new S-Class 4-Matic 450 white with beige ventilated leather.. I think he felt ashamed, he had to be "better" if he is older right

You are quite right, come to think of it, when I got my 530i back in 2005 from new, I did set a similar domino effect with my in-laws, my two brother in laws got an E class & Lexus within weeks of my purchase. Of course they did not want to admit it, but I think they would have preferred to have also got BMWs instead.....I suppose thats a good thing...

My mother-in-law always comments on how clean I keep my car. She then jokes around and asks me how I got that huge scratch in the door, just to see my reaction.
When I take both of them to dinner with my wife, my father-in-law sits up front. All he does is stare at the speedometer and tell me to slow down. Meanwhile, I'll only be going 50mph in a 45mph zone, but from his angle, it looks like 60+. Hahahaha!
