Incredible photo. Thanks for sharing. I'd love to see the detail in a full res version.
I tried a picture with my 70-200 & Nikon D200. With the haze and light polution of Charlotte, it didn't come out anything close to that.

I've taken a few at 200mm, but it's hard to get really close up detail. I was shooting at a focal length of 1000mm, and the Moon filled the entire DSLR sensor!

I've quite a few other astro pictures, I'll post a few up when I get a chance!

If you like you could forward me the Moon picture and I could run it through so processing software specifically for astro/Moon images, to see if there is anything 'hidden' in the image!
