Your title says it all. Glad to hear you're changing your ways. I'm not trying to sound "holier than thou" as we say here in the US, but this really isn't a gray area either.

So long as you take the lesson from the incident and actually apply it from this day forth, then perhaps it's a good thing, but LUCK was definitely on your side that night. Evidently the only cost for that luck was responsibility! Be careful!

+1

Glad you and those other drivers/pedestrians around you remained safe during that episode. But tipsy enough to knock down/hit objects and be shocked at the outcome the next morning is WAAAY too intoxicated to be behind the wheel. I'm glad you've learned the lesson, albiet the hard way. But had that sign been a person, the lesson would be far harsher.

Well, you have been bashed enough about the drunken driving so I won't touch on that... but it seriously is not cool ! I'm glad laws in India has gotten stricter on this, you got lucky or you could have spent the night in jail. Btw was this the same night you tried to sprint with a "real" M5, no wonder you had the balls after all those drinks

Were you around Haji Ali at around 3am on saturday? I thought I saw your car on the opposite side of the road taking a corner really fast, or it would have been the same genuine M5 that I mistook for you the previous time

Getting back to the topic, its just a fender bender. Hope they don't repaint it. Especially the bumper doesnt require painting, always keep some rubbing compound handy it works wonders.

Do you still give your car to Infinity? I have shifted over to Navnit, I find them better and experienced since they have been handling BMW imports for a decade. Know one senior engineer there, so he takes good care of her. I recently bent my left side skirt due to a pothole, they got it back to looking new without painting, just a heat treatment and new clips did the trick. Best of all it costed me 10% of the price i would have payed if I replaced it
2nd service is due soon @ 25,000kms gonna go back to them.

P.S: Next time you intend getting hammered, call Meru Cab 44224422 .. LOL !

At least you learned a lesson, unlike that douchebag who posted a few weeks back basically saying how he can handle driving drunk on public roads.
BTW Texas laws are extremely strick about this. If you get pulled over while drunk alot of times the state requires you to take a class. The costs of these classes is $15k and up. I only learned this when I was taking a aggressive driving course for speeding.

It is 100% pointless for anyone to give you criticism or advice, although it has been very entertaining for me to watch peoples blood boil when controversial post like this are presented.

Nice car.

Wow.. did you hit the sign so hard that the fender looks high, like the wheelgap is huge! or maybe hitting something raised your car up higher than normal.

Did the chrome trim also come with the drinking?

Just dont drink and drive again. no good.

Thanks for sparing me the bashing...lesson learnt boss. Henceforth my trusted driver Francis is going to be driving me around at night while I go club hopping with the boys.

I wish you had told me you switched to Navnit... Infinity quoted me 50K estimate since they had to work on 3 panels. I am also getting the I pod interface so that's another 30K... expensive affair.
