Ok I've worked out how to get it to spin in either direction at will ... what I do is hold my finger infront of the screen and rotate it, 3D, as if it were the leg, timed at the same speed as the leg. If I rotate it clockwise then focus on the leg, I see it spinning clockwise. Do the opposite, and the image follows. Once I've done that a few times, I find I can then do the same without using my finger infront of the screen. Very weird...!
I was able to switch it from clockwise to counter-clockwise then, after a short time, it flipped back to clockwise right in front of my eyes without me doing a thing.
The only thing I don't get now is the fact that the results seem backwards. I'm the most left-brained person you'll ever meet -- why do I seem to always see the girl go clockwise and have to fight to get her to go counter-clockwise? Could it be that the article from the Herald Sun got it backwards?
Thanks again Russ...I guess satan has at least one good quality!

I've seen it spinning both directions. Generally I see it Clockwise but when looking away and then slowly turn back so as to catch the image first with the corner of my eye, I see it A-clockwise. Amazing.

Try this one ...
How smart is Your Right Foot? Just try this. It is from an orthopedic surgeon............This will boggle your mind and you will keep trying over and over again to see if you can outsmart your foot, but, you can't. It's preprogrammed in your brain!
1. WITHOUT anyone watching you (they will think you are GOOFY......) and while sitting where you are at your desk in front of your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.
2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction I told you so!!! And there's nothing you can do about it! You and I both know how stupid it is, but before the day is done you are going to try it again, if you've not already done so.

I started anti clockwise, and now can see it either way as well. Interesting.

My wife and I looked at the graphic at the same time and called out which way it was going. We were often saying a different direction and my wife changed directions at different times from me. It means most of us can see it go both ways and it is purely in your own brain that ALL the perception occurs.
