Is it just me or are some of the posts here sometimes a little TRIVIAL?? I'm not complaining, I always figure that if nothing major is going on in my life, thats a GOOD thing, excitement sometimes is overrated! But still sometimes I just wonder why did this fellow member just post this thread?? (As some of you are doing right now!)

OMG!!! Is your car OK? Was it some kind of ficus? Those are the worst offenders - uninsured, seemingly docile, and they tend to attract some even more unsavory fellows - sparrows. While they woo you with song, they are secretly coordinating a poo-down with those damned ficus family members. Unfortunately, nicely polished E60's are often targeted - that errant leaf may not have been so errant. Beware buddy.

Must admit ive found some posts trivial - but then ive come from a different standpoint. Im an electronics engineer, practical in car related mechanics. In my garage i have a kit car that ive been building for 7 years - a morgan-like replica - that ive made all my body panels on, and welded up my own chassis.

On here, you get questions like 'my oil light is on - what should i do?' - 'my lamp is out - what should i do?' - answer in both cases was visit the dealer, get them to put oil / bulb in. Those things for me would be trivial - and even if service inclusive, wouldnt be worth the hassle of driving to the dealer.

To each his own, but on this site we seem to be mostly drivers, than home mechanics.

My other car, and its related site, Miata.net, is far more 'hands on' and self help

just my 2c worth

TFF!!! So now there's a conspiracy afoot???? Things are not as "Random" as I naively thought??? I DO recall a "Grassy Knoll" near where I parked during the "falling leaf" incident now that you mention it!

Is there a Technical Service Bulletin that addresses this concern? Or some sort of recall?

I swear, I did a search and didn't find anything about leaves...
