How do you like your D40? I almost got the D40x last year but got the Canon XTi instead. I like it but the prices of the ISL's are a killer.

c's bimmer: how weird. that cuban picture stand is very popular, it seems.
honk: yeah, seagull "signed" my camera, allright
initially i thought i'd outgrow the d40, but the other posters here are right - the
lens makes more difference. i found out my kit 18-55mm wasn't getting me close
enough sometimes. i need to master the basics yet. (right now i shoot in auto or P mode only)
