maybe we should have Lomag start up a Photography section! seems as if there's plenty of us either just getting started or others that are expert photog's!

Nice pics ... did the sea gull sign the photo release form?

How do you like your D40? I almost got the D40x last year but got the Canon XTi instead. I like it but the prices of the ISL's are a killer.

c's bimmer: how weird. that cuban picture stand is very popular, it seems.

honk: yeah, seagull "signed" my camera, allright
initially i thought i'd outgrow the d40, but the other posters here are right - the
lens makes more difference. i found out my kit 18-55mm wasn't getting me close
enough sometimes. i need to master the basics yet. (right now i shoot in auto or P mode only)
