It's funny that Germans even know who he is. He's a joke in the US. But somebody figured out that the Germans like him. Maybe just the German name?

Whew! I'm relieved to hear that some Germans are still sensible. I'd never even heard him called Hoff: he doesn't even deserve a nickname.
