I have only stayed at Ceasars on strip and the Red Rock off strip. Both were great. Red Rock was very modern feeling and I'd highly recommend it for someone not wanting the 24 hr glitz of the strip. Ceasars seemed to be the center of a LOT of things to do but so is the Venetian the center of more activities. Everyone rates the Bellagio high but pricey. I have been through it many times.

I just attended a wedding for a personal friend - a Navy SEAL -at the Wynn. The Hotel showed us great deference and respect. It was a class act in a class Hotel and we could want for nothing.

Palazzo is very nice.
Parking elevators very close to regular elevator banks. Good if your wife likes to shop off property and you drive.
Cheap Eats! Cheesecake factory right in lobby. Fine dining, clubs and shoppes steps away.
Must see! If you know who Frankie Valli is, "Jersey Boys" playing at the Palazzo.
Sleeper show: "Matsuri" at the Imperial Palace, Olympians/atheletes from Japan; very upbeat, enjoyable, and affordable.
All the Best!

btw: If you decide to see "Matsuri", eat/drink at Harrah's. Same owners and you can walk to the show. There is a counter connected to an Italian restaurant in Harrah's that's convenient and good for 'pupus' and drinks. Going there next Friday and seeing the show too.
Simple, inexpensive, Enjoy!

I voted for the Venetian as they ALWAYS take great care of their guests and the hotel is SO much nicer than anything else in Vegas (Aside from the Palazzo of course as it IS simply an extension of the Venetian). Make sure you go to Emeril's Delmonico Steakhouse while you are there, and let them know it's your anniversary, as they too will take great care of you! Whatever you decide, enjoy the hell out of it and let us know where you end up!
I agree.

Can't say I have stayed in all the sky-rise suites, but Venetian's is simply mind blowing compared to where I've been.

We stayed in one of the Penthouse Suites @ Signature MGM (37th floor I think)....As nice as they were, they were just a bit "hotel-ish" and missed that something special. We we're in the 3rd tower aswell, so it turned out to be a 25/30 minute walk from the strip!

We will be looking at staying somewhere a bit more central this year, possibly Ceasars!

Good luck with your surprise, I hope you both enjoy it
