yes i thought Aria to try and take advantage of some great deals they have now since its new and theyre trying to get people in.

Wynn looks like a great choice, spa for the miss and golf for moi
Aria is very nice, nothing but the best there, too bad I couldn't stay there (it wasn't done yet) but I know the network works - I built it

I voted Bellagio, by far my favorite hotel there. 2nd choice would be Encore or Venetian. Stay away from Aria, stayed their last week and they are still working out kinks in the hotel.

Shows
O
Ka
Phantom of the Opera

If she's a shoe person, there is a Christian Louboutin store a Palazzo.
If she's a purse person, there is a 3 story LV store at Crystals (City Center near Aria).

Have fun and good luck! First timer?

Thank you! As most women she does love shoes and purses, we will stop by both stores. Will definitely go see O. I was imagining the new hotels (Aria and Vdara) were still getting things sorted out (except the network, of course...). Our trip will be late feb, beginning of march maybe by then they fix things.

we've stayed at Wynn before but wanted to know if there are other options

ya, bout that. i didnt put an exact date for a reason. jk. we decided on vegas cause it was quick and easy, very little planning on my part. Also, weddings in nola tend to get out of hand as far as who shows up, we really just wanted close family there. I have five uncles and three aunts on my moms side alone, not to mention their wife/husbands and 25 first cousins, then my future wife is in the same situation. I am still meeting new family each time i go to her neck of the woods, so we went for small destination wedding.
April should be GREAT for Vegas and deals all over the place as the economy struggles to get back on its feet. I think the funniest sights I saw in Vegas were entire Bridal Parties wandering through the casinos.

Wish you the best of luck with your marriage and better yet ... HIT IT BIG IN VEGAS

Belagio. The curtains in the room can be controlled from the bed. WIN.

Aria is cool because the rooms are all controlled by remote: curtains, lights, climate, tv, but for your occasion I just wouldn't want to deal with the hassle. i took my parents & sister over xmas, they didn't have the double bed i asked for and the toilet flooded.

Stay at Bellagio, you won't be sorry plus O is there.

I voted for the Venetian as they ALWAYS take great care of their guests and the hotel is SO much nicer than anything else in Vegas (Aside from the Palazzo of course as it IS simply an extension of the Venetian). Make sure you go to Emeril's Delmonico Steakhouse while you are there, and let them know it's your anniversary, as they too will take great care of you! Whatever you decide, enjoy the hell out of it and let us know where you end up!
