OMG

I was in London this past summer and I was complaining about coffee and pastries (The $USD was/is so weak). Thank goodness I didn't rent a car.

That's why they're all coming over to New York City and spending like mad. It's actually great for the economy in NY, as tourism and travel to NY is at an all time high since 9/11.

Without wanting to start a political debate (ah, sod it), the problem that Labour won the election, and the fact that they will continue to win the election, is that they treat the poor / uneducated / unskilled / benefit claiming / non working / low income / immigrants / etc etc. And unfortunately, these categories make up the majority of the UK. "middle class" who drive BMW's would all love Conservative to get in. But the 90% of people who fall in to the afforemention brackets, who are the vast majority of the UK (and growing exactly because of the government) will vote Labour.

I'll be voting conservative, again, like I always have done and always will do. If I can afford the fuel to drive to the polling station !!

Will the conservatives be any kinder to the motorist than labour? It was Ken Clarke who introduced the fuel duty escalator.
