Getting into KC today, going to spend the afternoon shopping in the plaza. 3 friends and I have a hotel in the plaza and plan on going out to eat somewhere nice tonight then heading to the royals game! Sunday will be worlds of fun all day. Pretty excited for the mini vacation out of lincoln!!
Anyone have any recommendations on where to eat? Someone in the plaza and i dont want PF Changs! My friend insist on PF Changs and i said no way.

The Plaza III steakhouse, which is at County Club Plaza is awesome -- one of the best steakhouses in the United States. I adore that place. Been there about 5 times.

I was just thinking that! I live in tampa, which for a city of less then half a million has so much to do, to include 3 professional sports teams and disney/universal is 45 mins away. I feel spoiled, i cant imagine how the people who live in NY/LA/CHI feel looking at this.
anyway, have fun! never been so i dont have recommendations for you

If steak is not your thing and you want BBQ, KC's best BBQ restaurant is Fiorella's Jack Stack BBQ. It is so yummy. The Freight House location is the best one although they also have a branch at Country Club Plaza.
Here's the website link: http://www.jackstackbbq.com
Fiorella's Jack Stack is generally considered the best BBQ in KC.
About 4 years ago, I made about 7 business trips to KC (actually to Overland Park, KS) which spanned about 30 days there. I liked it a lot.
