Post

I've pulled a few videos from my winmob phone and will post one or two for anyone who would like a taste of what it's like to drive on a "path" posted at 80kph ... no shoulders, poorly paved roads ... rock walls, thick shrubbery overgrowing the roads! I rented a Ford Mondeo diesel w/5spd.

Oh - did I mention driving on the left with a lefthand drive car ... takes some getting used to .

That said, it's a beautiful country with great scenery and rich history. Oh ... forgot ... Guinness ... lots of Guinness !

I was on the lookout for forum stickies but didn't see any ... anyone recognize this 520d parked on the street in Dublin?

Thanks to everyone who posted links and provided advice before my trip - helped out a great deal

Yes I could totally see myself crashing if I had to drive on the other side of the road -- so against my instincts.

I was in the Bahamas a few years ago, and it was strange driving on the opposite side of the road, but from the normal side of the car!! All in all it was fun, and the rental car took a beating, but it must be even stranger to drive on the wrong side of the road AND the car too!! (No offense to my British brethren)

That's the right side of the car and the correct side of the road

My dad has driven in France a few times in his car...roundabouts (US - circles) now those were wacko! He gave up trying to drive in NJ though.
