V, not sure what prompted this but... All peoples regardless of gender deserve the benefit of doubt. That's about all that is deserved. The rest is determined by one's treatment of others.
The moniker's attached to most are usually earned. I don't see a problem with them, if they are earned. RESPECT is nowadays most often demanded instead of earned, and often the excuse for violence etc. I categorically disagree with your premise.
IMO, the problem today is not the lack of respect, but the lack of understanding of what it takes to give it and receive it.
