if the best smartphone (according to consumer reports) has this major flaw and is still the best rated smartphone, what does that say about other smart phones? kinda sad for other smartphone makers...

people also say lebron james is the best basketball player in the world....they have been saying it the last two years while Kobe Bryant keeps winning the trophies that matter. back to back finals mvp and world champ for 24, while 23 watches.

but from your example, that's an opinion at that point. I have both phones (the EVO and the iPhone 4, AND the HTC HD2), I still prefer the iPhone 4 over the EVO.
for me, from both the developer and user's perspective, the iPhone is better, but i LOVE EVO's Wifi access point - AWESOME.
BTW.. leBron James is BY NO MEANS the best basketball player in the world. HE GAVE UP WHILE PLAYING HIS LAST GAMES IN THE LAST SEASON!!! GAVE UP!!! Both Objectively and Subjectively. I'd say more people hate him than like him.

And FYI, they tested it in a controlled environment, with radio signal that was simulated by hardware emulator to carry out the test. I hate to say this, but some of you really need to get off Steve's Knob.
