Good idea! But your idea might leave me standing butt naked on the road broke.

BTW, I wonder how I would look butt naked in my E60?
Oh please stop...why give the rest of us a "Brain Tattoo" of that image?? And the day was going along SO nicely too!

I don't usually say anything at all. If and when she finally notices it, say, "Oh, I've had that for a while. I told you about it a long time ago."
My wife knows by now that I'm full of shit, but that usually ends it.

LMAO

As a rule of thumb I generally quote half the cost...that way it's easy to remember if it comes up again. So in this case the new laptop costs $1,750. It works for everything.
hmmm , that ones worth remembering....

Not sure about your wife. But mine has no clue about pricing between high end laptops and the average ones. So, as long as it's reasonable, she'd believe whatever I say. So, try telling her it's worth $1200. Good luck!

If she asks, just tell her it's not nice to ask how much "gifts" cost.

My fiance found one of my hidden receipts folders for one of my cars. Its literally 2" thick. She ended up getting LV bag and a HP laptop to shut her up. Both those items only added up to $1400 so i'm happy that shes happy.
