I am gone for good
#1
I want to say thanks to everyone for their great sources of information. I found I benefitted the most when I did not open my mouth and just read information. I am no expert but because of this board, combined with random internet and other forums reads, I have able to been a smart consumer with my dealer and get my complete drivetrain/cylinder head replaced, get many free products and parts due to me knowing more than the service managers about my specific car and in general enjoying learning about my car.
I honestly started posting in recent RPI threads to do nothing but help future consumers and current consumers to either give them a heads up or let them know some tips on how to better fit the RPI exhaust to 99 percent of our likings, which is relatively close all directions, to the exhaust cut out of the plastic.
Within 3 hours I was already getting hammered, bringing up my full name with nothing but horrible things to say and I guess as many members as there are, too many have remembered me from the past which is totally fine. I had my fair share of "dumb or insesnitive" posts and I understand previous bands. I thought this was put in the past and I actually opened up about my past on this board thinking that everyone was a heck of a lot more mature than I have been, and everyone would understand and welcome me as a member-clearly this is wrong. Whether it is my topics or my punctuation/grammar or my reputation, something irritates members and it is no fun to me to post topics to HELP others and then be attacked.
I went through some hard times, happened to be angry and unfortunately anger showed through in posts and was banned, yet am doing well, know all I ever will need to know about my car as it is only going to be around for another year or two and when I continue on and graduate, and get my M cars I have been learning and anticipating, hopefullly I can start a new life on some other board
Until then I resign, I thank you for mature members who were willing to let things go and I honestly want to say none of my posts were meant to bash RPI and only meant to look out for first and foremosti n my mind-----board members on e60.net. Do you think I care about Eloy and his business? No-I actually cared about you enthusiasts who own a 5 series. I was trying to help but was shot down.
Take care gues. Thanks Iceman and Rudy for the more than warm welcome and acceptance but clearly I irritate so many people. I wont be reading subsequent threads so no need to post for anyone their detest or hatred for me-I am going to enjoy my car, exhaust and lifef as I am a happy person who loves their 2007 iwth a passion!
take care guys-mike

You need to have thicker skin. Who cares about what other people say?
Diamond, you had to expect that, after circumventing bans 5 times, your reception here would be less than warm by some. Frankly, I was astonished that Rudy and Iceman let you come back on at all. They are incredibly tolerant people. On just about any other board, you would have been re-banned in a nanosecond. Despite my own personal believe that a ban is is a ban, I was happy to follow Rudy and Iceman's lead (they are both bigger people than me) and welcome you back. But you had to understand that others were not going to be welcoming at all - especially some of the long-term members who had tangled with you in the past.
You do seem to have tremendous enthusiasm for our cars and you are very knowledgeable about them.
Best of luck in all future endeavors. Chow!
