How many E60 forum members are also motorcycle riders? On most weekends (here in year-round decent weather Southern California), you're more likely to see me cruising up and down Pacific Coast Highway on my '07 Honda Gold Wing than in my "cage" (i.e. E60). But I realize motorcycling is not for everyone. Maybe it's in my blood because I've been riding bikes (dirt, then dual-purpose, then crotch-rockets, then sport-tourers, now luxury tourers) for 30 years, since I was a teenager. So, do you ride?

I do.

I'm riding motorcycle on everyday basis for 30 years, since 13. I've done more than 1.000.000 kms on them...

Some motorcycles I owned

1981 - XR 250R - HONDA (1 wheel ride - unforgettable - my first big one - other than many 50cc owned before - I was 17)
1983 - XL 600R - HONDA (nice and cool)
1984 - RD 350 LC - YAMAHA (2 stroke "killer")
1987 - XR 600R - HONDA (1 wheel power ride)
1988 - TDR 250 - YAMAHA (2 stroke - lovely and powerful)
1989 - CBR 1100R - HONDA (monster of its age)
1994 - XTZ 750 Super Tenere (converted to TDR 900cc engine) - YAMAHA (coool ride) I have it until now and I love it, after 14 years, it is like new.

Then, I started playing with cars.

My dad used to collect Motto Guzzi's back in the day. Those were great bikes.

My screen name is from a motorcycle forum i used to spend a lot of time on, before I got the BMW. I try to ride at least once a week but have to say I'm mostly a fair weather rider. Where I live that isn't a problem. Been on a couple of long trips and am ready to head out again.

Hey, SLORider, I think I recognize that scenic coastline in your photo. My absolute favorite spot on earth is just south of Big Sur, around San Dollar State Beach. Central California has amazing motorcycle routes, both coastal and inland. This is me with a 'perma-grin' in Big Sur on the weekend I picked up the new 'Wing last March.

My two bikes, a 2004 Yamaha R6 and 2000 Kawasaki zx6-r. The Kawasaki was sold a year ago. I'm normally out running Malibu Canyon on weekends.

Yep, that photo was taken further south near San Simeon. Your right about the roads around here. Between riding and driving I can keep myself challenged all year long. It is especially beautiful this time of year.

Even though my 2004 545i sport package, premium package, nav, is my dream car, my 2007 BMW R1200GS Adventure is the love of my life
Nothing relaxes me more that a ride on my bike.
